This load cell from Siemens accurately measures the mechanical force exerted by objects. The measuring element is a solid stainless steel cylinder to which four strain gauges are applied. When weight bears down on the unit, the gauges deform elastically. This generates a measuring signal voltage that is proportional to the load. You can use this device to measure a wide range of nominal loads for alignment and equipment protection.
