RS PRO RS-660 Noise Dosimeter
Introducing the RS PRO RS-660 Noise Dosimeter, ideal for real-time measurement and monitoring of personal noise exposure levels. Its a lightweight and portable device, ideal for use on the go, especially when there is little space of a larger sound level meter to be used, or if noise exposure needs to be monitored over a longer period of time, for example over a full working day. It is a high-quality, versatile noise level measurement device that can be used to monitor noise exposure in a wide range of applications.
Features and Benefits:
- This RS PRO dosimeter is perfectly designed as a super portable and lightweight personal noise exposure monitor, ideal for extended noise exposure measurement
- The device is cable-free and easy to use, while the LCD display makes it easy to read the results and also offers a direct-read out feature
- This meter offers a dynamic measurement range of 70 to 140 dB, while the peak measurement range offered is from 103 to 143 dB
- Manual data memory storage and recall of 30 sets of readings
- The keypad lock feature protects the meter against accidental operation, especially while being used during a working day
- There are 10 built-in standard dose measurement setups and nine user-defined measurement setups, which offers additional versatility and functionality across a range of applications
- Battery-powered using a 3.7 V Li-Polymer rechargeable battery along with 90-minute fast-charge capability (USB PC interface for charging unit)
- Weight 70 g approximately, including battery, making it a perfectly lightweight and portable unit
- Supplied with: Instruction manual, carrying case, charging unit, AC adapter for charging unit, CD software, USB cable
Applications:
A sound level meter or dosimeter is used for acoustic measurements. It is commonly a hand-held instrument with a microphone. The diaphragm of the microphone responds to changes in air pressure caused by sound waves. That is why the instrument is sometimes referred to as a Sound Pressure Level Meter. The dosimeter is an instrument used to measure personal exposure to the immediate environment, such as sound levels around factories, workshops, schools, residential, offices, road, audio etc. It also can be appropriate for noise engineering, product quality control, health prevention and treatment, etc. Sound level meters are most commonly used for:
- Sound level monitoring
- Addressing health issues
- Addressing safety issues
- Industrial environments
- Office environments
How does a Sound Level Meter or Noise Dosimeter work?
These types of devices generally work by using a diaphragm inside the microphone that detects changes in air pressure caused by sound waves.
