The MSSA204N slide switch from TE connectivity is a very popular switch that offers a DPDT contact configuration with an On-None-On switch operation. They are easy to use in circuit boards and prototyping board applications to turn power on and off.

What is DPDT?

DPDT mean double pole, double throw. Double pole refers to the number of individual circuits you are switching and the throw is how many connections you are making on each of the poles. A DPDT switch is a 3 terminal switch, one terminal is use as an input and 2 terminals are used as an output.

What is Break-Before-Make?

The break-before-make feature stops the momentary connection of new and old paths by opening the first contact before closing the new contacts.
