Sick Sensor Actuator Cable, 10m Cable Length, Grey Jacket - YG8U14-100VA3XLEAX

This sensor actuator cable provides a robust connection between field devices and control systems in industrial automation environments. Designed for sensor and actuator signalling, it links an angled female M8 connector to unterminated flying leads within a flexible PVC jacket, suitable for chemical‑exposed zones and varied installation conditions.

Features & Benefits

• 10m length supports extended machine‑to‑sensor routing
• Four contacts deliver straightforward 4‑pin signal distribution
• PVC jacket in grey offers chemical zone compatibility
• Rated for ≤60V enabling low‑voltage sensor circuits
• IP65 IP66K IP67 protection permits wash‑down and harsh environments
• Current rating 4A handles common sensor and actuator loads

Applications

• Suitable for proximity sensor installations on conveyor systems
• Ideal for robotic end‑effector signal connections
• used with automated assembly‑line actuators and valves
• Can be used for machine Vision trigger wiring in wash‑down areas
• Suitable for connecting distributed sensors in process plants

What conductor size and cable construction does it use?

The cable comprises four conductors with 0.25mm² cross‑section in an unshielded, PVC‑insulated assembly and an overall diameter of 4.8mm.

How does the connector secure to equipment?

The angled female M8 connector uses a screw‑type locking nut with zinc die‑cast, nickel‑plated material and a recommended tightening torque of 0.4Nm.

What temperature ranges are acceptable for routing and installation?

For flexible use the cable is rated from −5°C to +80°C, while stationary installations are suitable from −30°C to +80°C and the connector head from −25°C to +85°C.

How does the cable perform electrically regarding insulation and impulse voltage?

Insulation resistance is 100MΩ, specific insulation resistance is 30mΩ, and the rated impulse voltage is 1.5kV with overvoltage category III.

Is the cable certified for use in standard industrial systems?

The assembly holds UL authorisation and conforms to flame‑retardant requirements per UL1581 VW1 / CSA FT1.
