3M 3759 Series Flat Cable, 30m Cable Length, 14 Conductors - 3759-14

This flat cable provides a Compact multiconductor connection for automation and electronics systems, designed for installations where a thin, ribbon-style conductor assembly is required. It operates in typical control and signal environments and is intended for use where a flexible, PVC-jacketed cable running between components is preferred.

Features and Benefits:

• 14 conductors deliver multiple signal paths for Compact wiring
• 28AWG tin-plated copper cores enable reliable conductivity
• 1.27mm pitch supports tight IDC connector compatibility
• 300V rating allows use in low-voltage distribution systems
• PVC jacket resists abrasion and supports 80°C maximum operation

Applications

• Suitable for ribbon wiring between control modules and displays
• Ideal for harnesses in test rigs and laboratory equipment
• Used with IDC connectors in industrial automation panels
• Can be used for interconnections in Electronic Assembly benches

What conductor construction ensures signal integrity?

The cores are round, each comprising seven strands of tin-plated copper which balance flexibility with consistent electrical contact for signal and low-power applications.

How does the cable behave in fire-related scenarios?

The insulation meets FT1 fire behaviour classification, providing limited flame propagation characteristics for installations where reduced fire spread is required.

Is the cable screened for noise immunity?

The cable is unscreened, so external shielding or routing considerations are recommended where electromagnetic interference suppression is necessary.

What standards and approvals cover its use in installations?

It conforms to recognised specifications including AWM20267 and UL CL2, and meets NEC725 requirements for certain building and control wiring contexts.

Approvals

  UL and CSA
