Its housing is made from aluminium alloy, which puts up with above-average mechanical stress in industrial settings. The housing is also corrosion-resistant, making it ideal for moist conditions. Direct cable entry at the top of the hood makes inserting a power connector a cinch.

HBE connectors are type tested to 16A, 440Vac, and are available complete in kit form and as individual parts.

High construction versions allow the use of bulky multicore cable and are ideally suited for use with the high density H-DD inserts

These hoods and housings will accept either plug or socket inserts from the H-BE 440Vac 16A screw termination inserts, or the H-DD 250Vac 10A high density crimp termination inserts.
The cable glands seal to IP65. Panel mount bases include a rubber gasket for sealing.
All this allows for a wide variety of commercial and industrial applications.
