What is A2 Stainless Steel?

Stainless steel comes in many grades, the most popular being, A2 stainless steel which is a corrosion resistant steel also known as 304. The other common grade of stainless steel is A4 or 316. A2 stainless steel is often used in the food and catering industries. Stainless steel nuts, fasteners, screws and bolts are often manufactured from A2 stainless steel as the metal offers strong abrasion resistance, good resistance to corrosion and reliable low levels of distortion.

Note

If A2 stainless steel is not what you are looking for, we also have the locking half nut in A4 stainless steel.

Standards

DIN 439 – Hexagon thin nuts

Please note IMDS is not a regulatory requirement and is currently not supported by RS PRO
