Festo Pneumatic Soft-Start Valve, Electrical Actuation, 10 Bar Maximum Operating Pressure - MS6-SV-1/2-D-10V24P-2M12-SO-AG

This Festo 3/2-way pneumatic soft-start valve is ideal for systems that need pressure to be slowly increased or decreased to prevent equipment damage. Thanks to its wide operating temperature range between -10°C and +50°C, you can use it safely in demanding industrial applications. The unit's housing is made of die-cast aluminium and has an IP65 rating, indicating it's dust-tight and water resistant. You'll find this device used in pneumatic applications that have air cylinders with a 6in stroke or longer.

• High-alloy steel piston rod offers superior strength to safely control pressure when switching on and off

• 3.5 to 10 bar operating pressure range to manage high-pressure pneumatic systems

Applications

• Factory automation

• Food production

• Agricultural equipment

• Drilling and excavation industries

How fast does this soft-start valve open and close?

It takes 40ms to close the valve and 130ms to switch it back to open, so you can be sure of fast response times.

When would I need a soft-start valve?

Soft-start valves are an essential safety feature in industrial systems where the pressure is 100psi or above. They prevent your equipment from slamming to the home position during maintenance and potentially suffering damage.
