IMI Norgren Threaded Pneumatic Silencer, R3/8, 10 Bar - T40 Series - T40B3800

This sintered brass pneumatic silencer from IMI Norgren reduces the venting sound of compressed air to levels that won't harm operators or the environment. It's commonly installed directly on the exhaust port of air valves, manifolds and cylinders to diffuse released air and cut down its speed, turbulence and noise. The unit has a durable brass base that's resistant to corrosion for longevity, even in harsh environments. Its diffusion element also stops dirt from entering unprotected pneumatic ports and causing damage, which extends the service life of compressed air equipment.

Features & Benefits

• High flow capacity so won't restrict the function of a high-pressure circuit
• Easy-to-clean element to reduce the need for frequent replacement
• Easy installation saves on assembly time
• Wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +80°C, so suitable for industrial use

Applications

• Air tools• Robotics
• Mining and mineral processing
• Medical and pharmaceutical industries

What is sintered brass?

Sintered brass is manufactured by pressing metallic brass powder into shape and then curing it at a high temperature. This 'sintering' process produces a coarse-pored component that efficiently distributes and reduces noise levels.
