IMI Norgren Pneumatic Piston Rod Cylinder, Magnetic Piston Rod Action, Rc1/8 Port Size - Roundline Series - RT/57240/M/50

This piston rod cylinder from IMI Norgren produces linear machine motions using compressed air generated by a pneumatic system. Made of martensitic and austenitic stainless steel for high strength, it's robust enough for demanding industrial settings. A 50mm maximum stroke range makes it practical for positioning, clamping and ejecting smaller components. The unit's double action means the 40mm cylinder has two Rc1/8 ports, so its piston can make linear movements in either direction. Polyurethane and nitrile rubber wipers achieve a secure seal and deliver reliable cushioning. This reduces friction during piston movements and stops water from getting in, so you get a long-lasting product.

Features & Benefits

• Operating temperature range of -10ºC to +80ºC for compatibility with harsh environments

• Compact design saves 20% more space compared with standard-size ISO cylinders

• Operating pressure range between 1 and 10 bar, so safe for use in low-pressure applications

• Double-crimp end cap made of high-strength aluminium seals tightly to prevent dust and moisture from contaminating the cylinder barrel

Applications

• Factory automation

• Aerospace engineering

• Transportation applications

What's the benefit of this product's magnetic piston?

As magnetic piston rods enable position detection using proximity sensors, you get the option of contactless operation and it integrates seamlessly with remote control systems.
