Festo Pneumatic Cylinder, 200mm Bore, 250mm Stroke - DSBG-200-250-PPVA-N3

Need to efficiently move a load in two directions? This double-acting pneumatic cylinder from Festo will do the job without the need for a spring. It's designed with two ports and is able to alternate air pressure between both ends, making it suitable for applications such as opening and closing a door. The die-cast aluminium coating ensures the unit is hardwearing and adequately protected from corrosion. This portable device also features a PPV (pressure protection valve) cushioning system, which lowers the speed of the piston and is adjustable at both ends. This feature reduces vibrations to other parts of the machine.

• Wide operating pressure range of 0.6 to 10 bar to accommodate changes in temperature
• Nitrile rubber seal on the piston ensures the unit is protected
• 200mm bore size and 250mm stroke length for use in more demanding applications

Applications

• Material handling and packaging
• Robotics
• Lifts
• Automatic doors

What's the advantage of a double-acting pneumatic cylinder over a single-acting one?

A double-acting pneumatic cylinder is faster, bi-directional and uses less energy than a single-acting one.
