This double-acting cylinder from Festo is an essential component of industrial process control systems. It comprises a piston made of high-alloy steel for optimal performance and long service life. This piston is housed in a protective cover made of die-cast aluminium that's both durable and lightweight. It works by reacting to the pressure difference in its air port, which cause the piston to extend and retract as required. There are also mounting slots for proximity sensors that adjust its movement based on the specific job at hand.
