Festo Pneumatic Piston Rod Cylinder, Air Cushioning, 0.6 to 12 Bar Operating Pressure - DSBC-40-40-PPVA-N3

Push your automation further with this pneumatic piston rod cylinder from Festo. As it's double-acting, it's capable of controlling precise movement in two directions. At a pressure of 6 bar, it has a theoretical force between 633 and 754N, which means it's capable of moving heavy loads. There's air cushioning at both ends to absorb excess energy and prevent wear. This is adjustable, so if loads change, the cylinder can handle it. A stroke length and bore size of 40mm enables it to operate in small spaces. Slots in the body mean you can flush mount a proximity sensor, increasing functionality without wasting space.

Features & Benefits

• Capable of dry running and lubricated movement for convenience
• Operating at pressures between 0.6 and 12 bar, it's widely compatible with automation applications
• Wrought-aluminium alloy and high-alloy steel construction means it's rugged
• Works in temperatures between -20°C and +80°C to handle the extreme environments of industry

Applications

• Assembly lines
• Plant machinery
• Processing equipment
• Robotics systems

Can I add a clevis attachment to this pneumatic cylinder?

Yes. The threaded rod end means it's easy to accessorise your cylinder with a screw-fitting eye (121-5554) or clevis (121-5548).
