DFM Pneumatic Guided Cylinders - Ball Bearing

Festo DFM series pneumatic guided cylinders are double acting drive and guide unit in a single housing. Recirculating ball bearings drive the guide rods making it ideal for applications where torque loads are present. Designed for high load pneumatic applications such as clamping, stopping, material handling and lifting. The sturdy and precise aluminium construction is maintenance free and highly resistant to torque and lateral external forces. A compact design incorporates the piston rod as part of the guide body.

The DFM series of guided actuators have flexible cushioning plates to reduce noise during operation and increase service life. Integrated slots on the actuator body allow for incorporating proximity sensors to measure the linear motion of the piston. Air supply ports on both the top and side of the cylinder provide flexible positioning options.

Application Examples

Clamping
The guided drive is perfectly suited to clamping components for reliable further processing.

Lifting
The guided cylinders effortlessly transports and lifts loads powerfully and dynamically.

Stopping
Loads of up to 150 kg are stopped reliably and safely, making the guided drive a resilient and sturdy stopper cylinder.
