Schneider Electric Base, 206mm Width - ABE7R16S210

This base provides a 16-channel electromechanical relay sub-base designed for use with the Quantum Automation Platform. It serves as a removable terminal-block Interface for PLC outputs, enabling connection of volt-free contacts for control applications within automation systems.

Features & Benefits

• Rated for 24V DC supply enabling PLC-end compatibility
• Maximum per-output common current 10A supporting higher loads
• Per-channel current capability 5A for preactuator connections
• Electrical durability up to 500,000 cycles for repeated switching
• Mechanical life 20,000,000 cycles for long service intervals
• Operating temperature range −5 to 60 °C for typical site environments

Applications

• Suitable for replacing worn relay bases in Quantum PLC racks
• Used with the Quantum Automation Platform for discrete output control
• Ideal for interfacing preactuators and small actuators in panels
• Can be used for modular control expansions requiring 16 channels

How are wires terminated on the unit?

Terminations use removable Terminal blocks with two Terminals per channel and a tightening torque of 0.6 N·m using a flat Ø3.5mm screwdriver.

What protection and environmental ratings apply?

The assembly provides IP2X contact protection, resists 750 °C incandescent wire tests, and meets pollution degree 2 requirements.

How is the base mounted within control cabinets?

It mounts on 35mm symmetrical DIN rail by clips or on a solid plate using the supplied fixing kit.

How quickly do contacts operate after Coil change?

Typical switching behaviour is ≤10 MS for energisation and ≤5 MS for de-energisation with contact bounce ≤5 MS.

What electrical insulation and impulse withstand ratings exist?

The product has a rated insulation voltage of 2,000V and an impulse withstand rating of 2.5 kV per relevant standards.
