Fluke Multimeter Kit, Multimeter Kit Application, Kit Contents Multimeter - 1587K1T62MAXFC

This multimeter kit combines a digital insulation tester and a true-rms multimeter in a single handheld package for electrical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance in industrial settings. Supplied with a hard carry case, clamp meter, test leads, remote probe and an infrared thermometer, it supports measurements across insulation resistance, AC/DC voltage and current, resistance, continuity and temperature for field diagnostics.

Features & Benefits

• Insulation range to 2GΩ for detecting high-resistance faults
• Test voltages from 50V to 1000V for versatile insulation testing
• VFD low-pass filter for accurate motor-drive voltage readings
• True-rms AC measurements to handle non-sinusoidal waveforms
• Memory and timed PI/DAR functions via app for trend analysis

Applications

• Suitable for motor and drive fault diagnosis using low-pass filter readings
• Ideal for preventive insulation health checks on switchgear and cables
• Used with HVAC systems for temperature and electrical correlation
• Suitable for commissioning and maintenance of industrial control panels
• Can be used for onsite documentation and historical tracking of assets

What protection is provided when testing live circuits?

The instrument inhibits insulation tests if it senses Terminal voltage greater than 30V prior to test initiation and auto-discharges capacitive voltage rapidly after a test.

How does it cope with non-sinusoidal or high-crest-factor signals?

AC inputs are true-rms and specified from 5% to 100% of range with crest-factor allowances up to 3 (decreasing at higher voltages) and added uncertainty guidance for distorted waveforms.

What environmental limits apply during operation?

It operates from -20°C to 55°C, with defined relative-humidity ranges up to 95% at lower temperatures, and is rated for use up to 2000m altitude.

What power source and typical endurance can be expected?

The kit runs on four AA batteries and will perform at least 1000 standard insulation tests or provide approximately 1000 hours of meter use under typical conditions.
