This braking resistor is a Compact auxiliary device designed to absorb regenerated energy from variable-speed drives, protecting the drive and motor during deceleration phases. It is intended for use with a range of Altivar drives in industrial automation settings and provides controlled dissipation of DC bus energy to maintain stable drive operation in frequent braking cycles.

It is wired between the DC bus Terminals (PA, PB) and the braking resistor Terminal as shown in the recommended schematic.

What mounting clearances are required?


Refer to the dimensional layout for side and front clearance and ensure free airflow within the enclosure for correct heat transfer.

What packaging and shipping unit details are available?


Single units are supplied in individual cartons with dimensions 31.5cmx17.5cmx11.5cm and grouped packs contain 33 pieces per outer package.
