The ifm electronic speed sensor operates at a voltage range of 7 to 30 V DC with a current consumption of less than 30 mA. It has a protection class III rating but does not include reverse polarity protection. The sensor features an NPN electrical output design with a permanent current rating for the switching output of 50 mA. It supports a switching frequency ranging from 2 to 15,000 Hz.
