RS PRO 1.5 m x 3 mm Diameter 303S31 Stainless Steel Rod
This durable stainless steel rod from the trusted RS PRO range is easily welded and machined for a variety of applications. It measures 1.5 metres long by 3 mm in diameter.
The metal rod is made from 303 austenitic stainless steel with additional sulphur for free machining properties. It's non-magnetic and heat-resistant with low electrical conductivity, so you can safely use it in equipment without the risk of interference from other parts. It's also highly resistant to corrosion and heat, and it meets British Standards BS970 Part 1 (1983) specifications for wrought steels for mechanical and allied engineering purposes.
Stainless steel rods are useful for heavy-duty construction and industrial applications. You'll find this one used in bridge and barrier-wall construction, as well as in high-temperature environments, food processing and aircraft applications.
