Allen Bradley 1492 SP Series Miniature Circuit Breakers – Type B

The 1492-SPM Type B general purpose Miniature Circuit Breakers by Allen Bradley offer excellent protection for electrical circuits. With this series 1, 2, and 3 Pole units are available so that you can find the perfect MCB to suit your application.

The 1492-SPM series of MCB’s are current limiting and have an instantaneous break time. These models have Type B Tripping characteristics. They are IP20 finger-safe and they also have dual terminals for wiring and bus bar flexibility. Installation is simple as these MCB’s can be DIN rail mounted, and up to six accessories can be fixed on the same circuit breaker to provide a complete electrical safety system. The 1492-SPM series of circuit breakers reduces downtime from nuisance tripping due to their enhanced shock and vibration resistance.

A Type B miniature circuit breaker will trip instantly at a rate of three to five times its rated current. These MCB’s are often used for small inductive loads where switching surges are very low. They are frequently used in residential or light commercial applications.

Features and Benefits:

• Easy and fast installation via DIN rail mounting
• Instantaneous break time
• Available in 1, 2 or 3 pole versions
• Thermal-magnetic tripping mechanism
• Clear visibility of contact state due to indicator window: red for closed, green for open
• Environmentally friendly - RohS compliant and fully recyclable
• Screw Terminals
• Can function in extreme ambient conditions due to 40 ˚C (104 °F) calibration temperature

Allen Bradley Miniature Circuit Breaker, Type B, 4A Current Rating - 1492-SPM2B040

This miniature circuit breaker from Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley range protects your electrical supply from current overloads. When a surge in current reaches the maximum allowance of 10kA (kiloamps) the unit is thermo-magnetically tripped to stop a short circuit. As this is a type B breaker, it trips at between three and five times the rated current and is ideal for resistive, non-inductive loads. You'll find it in low-power domestic applications such as lighting circuits.

Features & Benefits

• Mechanical endurance of 20,000 operations for reliable performance
• DIN rail mounting for quick and easy installation
• Screw terminals ensure connections are electrically and physically secure
• IP20 (ingress protection) rating certifies the device is touch-proof and resistant to dust or objects greater than 12mm in size
• Indicator window showing red for ON and green for OFF makes fault-finding and status-checking easier

Standards and Certifications

• CE (Conformitè Europëenne)
• UL (Underwriters' Laboratories)
• CSA (Canadian Standards Association)
• VDE (Verband der Elektrotechnik)

What are the dimensions of this miniature circuit breaker?
