Allen Bradley Guardmaster Transmitter Plug-In Module For GuardShield Safety Light Curtain, M12 - 450L-APT-PW-5

This plug-in module from Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley range is used to send signals from a GuardShield safety light curtain to a programmable logic controller (PLC). Once installed, the device can monitor up to three light curtains with presence sensing device initiation (PSDI). Real-time diagnostic information is delivered by the unit over a local area network (LAN), so you can pinpoint the exact location of any item that trips the safety sensors. This reduces downtime, increases machine efficiency and improves productivity.

• Plug-in connection style is quick, easy and tool-free• Standard M12 adapter provides a stable link for seamless signal transmission• Two LEDs (light-emitting diodes) on the transceiver indicate the best alignment position

Can I override a safety function with this module?

Yes. This device lets you temporarily suspend a safety function of the light curtains, provided certain conditions are met. Once activated, materials can pass through the protective field without shutting down the machine.

Note

This safety device can be used with Guardlink, a new safety linking technology from Allen Bradley Guardmaster.
Guardlink simplifies and reduces the connection time of the safety system, whilst providing real-time diagnostic information over Ethernet IP. This makes it simple to identify the location of the device that has tripped the safety system, thus reducing downtime, and improving the machines overall efficiency. For more details, please go to the Guardlink brochure.
