TE Connectivity RITS PCB Header Connectors

RITS (Remote Input/Output Terminal System) PCB header connectors with a high density 2.0 mm centreline designed for use as the standard Interface connector for sensors. These RITS PCB headers are designed to mate with the RITS cable mount plug connectors. Polarization features provide correct alignment to the mating plug and a secure connection is provided by a retention latch. The vertical mounting RITS headers feature solder retention pegs for a secure connection to the PCB. The right angle SMT headers (part numbers x-1565994-x) feature mounting bosses

These RITS connectors are the standard Interface connector for sensors and are used in a wide range of factory automation (FA) applications. 2.0mm Tyco RITS™ Connector System

The RITS connector (Remote I/O Terminal System) from Tyco Electronics is the new termination standard developed in Japan to solve non-compatibility issue when terminating sensors to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). RITS is a quick and highly reliable wire-to-board and wire-to-wire connection system that reduces installation time by up to 80% in Factory Automation applications. Chisel Press Contact termination technology enables larger contact by the chisel shaped contact which pierces into the cable and secures a larger contact area. The retention mechanism retains the cable at higher retention force than IDC connectors. The press function will keep the contact pressure for the life of the connection.
