RITS (Remote Input/Output Terminal System) plug and socket connectors with a high density 2.0 mm centreline designed for use as the standard Interface connector for sensors. The 4 way RITS connector is approved as the industry standard connector. These RITS connectors have an integrated locking lever for a secure wire to wire connection and can be pulled through a partially jammed wiring duct. An audible click provides assurance of positive mating. The RITS plug connectors feature Chisel Press Contacts. The chisel part of the contact pierces the wire to create a large contact area, no prior wire preparation is required. The press part of the contact keeps the contact pressure applied. Two points of contact provide high contact reliability including under conditions shock and vibration. The cable retention mechanism on the contact retains the wire with a higher retention force than traditional IDC connectors. The housings of these RITS connectors are colour coded to indicate wire size and are semi-transparent enabling Visual inspection of the connection. These RITS connectors allow terminations to be MADE easily and quickly with increased electrical reliability.

RITS is a quick and highly reliable wire-to-board and wire-to-wire connection system that reduces installation time by up to 80% in Factory Automation applications. Chisel Press Contact termination technology enables larger contact by the chisel shaped contact which pierces into the cable and secures a larger contact area. The retention mechanism retains the cable at higher retention force than IDC connectors. The press function will keep the contact pressure for the life of the connection.
