Belden Alpha Wire Flexible Conductor Hook-Up Wire, 0.96mm² Cross-Sectional Area, 30m Length - Premium Series - 5857 BK005

Safely connect high-powered electrical equipment using this Belden hook-up wire from the Alpha Wire range. It's coated in 0.3mm-thick insulating Teflon material, which prevents overheating in extreme temperatures. The unshielded cable has an outer diameter of 1.75mm so it's very strong and resistant to impact. You can use it in a range of applications by cutting its 30m length to your desired size. Its 14.9lbs pull tension means you can stretch this wire when space is limited without breaking it.

Features & Benefits

• Operating temperature range of -60°C to +200°C for use in challenging industrial environments

• Highly conductive silver-plated copper conductor material for reliable performance

• Bend radius 10 times the cable diameter for flexible use

Applications

• Robotics

• Machine prototypes

• Switch control

• Electrical plugs

How do I strip a hook-up wire?

You can use a wire stripper, which is a simple tool with several stripping holes that correspond to the wire gauge. Insert this 18 AWG (American Wire Gauge) wire into the correct hole then pull to strip off the insulation. You can also use this tool to easily cut the wire.
