RS PRO Ceramic Heating Element, 8 in, 400 W, 240 V DC


This finned strip heater from RS PRO is a reliable heat source where surface heating is required, such as in plates, dies and moulds. A controlled coil-heating process ensures uniform heating over the entire active surface, while slotted tabs allow for gradual linear expansion during the initial heat-up period. Apart from surface applications, these heating elements are also commonly used in air heating and defrosting applications like drying cabinets, baking ovens and car thawing. In industrial settings, they are commonly used in the manufacturing of air conditioners, ovens and food-packaging equipment.

Made from high-grade materials, this ceramic heating element uses high-temperature resistance alloy wires, a corrosion-resistant aluminised steel sheath and cadmium plated steel fins to ensure durability. Special refractory materials provide excellent heat-transfer characteristics with superior insulation. As part of the RS PRO series, this heating element is tested for quality and consistency.
