Cynergy3 offers wide range of horizontal switches which are WRAS approved and have low-cost compact design. These horizontal float switches consist of a reed switch and a pivoted actuator magnet and can be used for N/O or N/C operation. The switch action can be reversed by mounting the float switch with the float able to move upwards away from the body instead of downwards.

WRAS is the standard against waste, misuse, undue consumption or contamination of the water supply and must have an appropriate quality and standard.

These Cynergy3 Horizontal Switches are most likely to be used in vending machines, commercial washing machines and evaporator units.

Suitable for signal switching and for use with transistorised input/low power, suppressed coil miniature relays. Not suited for any inductive or inrush (e.g. filament lamps) loads.

A float switch is most commonly used in a tank to maintain the minimum and maximum liquid levels. When the fluid level reaches a minimum level, the switch signals a pump to operate and replenish the tank. When the maximum liquid level is reached, the switch tells the pump to stop working. This means the fluid in the tank stays within the pre-set range.
