The Hirst Magnetics High Sensitivity Axial Hall Probe is an active semiconductor Hall element that includes a focusing magnetic circuit. This magnetic circuit enhances the sensitivity by concentrating the magnetic flux experienced by the probe in the Hall element. While the internal magnetic circuit does exhibit some hysteresis over the operating range, the effect is minimal, typically less than ±0.2%.
