EDAC Heavy Duty Power Connector Plug


The EDAC 516 series rectangular 56-way connector plug has crimp pin termination type. This male plug is suitable for applications where safety and high reliability are required. It has a hermaphroditic metal-to-metal contact design. The plugs or receptacles of this high-density system can form either the fixed or free half of the connector, providing designers with great flexibility. It has 56 contacts, which are made of phosphor bronze gold plating. These include audio broadcast, railway signalling, oil and gas industry control systems together with general industrial and automotive control and test systems. The housing is made of polycarbonate material. Crimp, solder and wire wrap contacts are available for this connector housing and are sold separately.
