RS PRO VDE/1000 V Insulated 160 mm Flush Cutters


Need to work on live circuits? These RS PRO insulated cable cutters are commonly used when working on live circuits that can't be disconnected – for example, a railway line that needs to remain active. The flush cutters are approved as being safely insulated against voltages of up to 1000 V AC or 1500 V DC by Verband der Elektrotechnik (VDE).

The blades are formed from a special tool steel, with an electro-filmed polished finish that resists corrosion for added durability. Duo Tech soft-grip handles make for easy operation and reduce the strain placed on your hand.

The cutters meet ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007 Electrostatic Control Standards, meaning they won't damage equipment via electrostatic discharge. The cutters are designed to cut copper and aluminium cables of up to 10 mm thick. They aren't suitable for cutting steel wire or wire ropes.
