RS PRO 50 Ω Straight Cable Mount SMA Connector, Plug, RG405

This male SMA connector from the RS PRO range is a sub-miniature radio frequency (RF) connector that can be used to join a variety of coaxial cables together.

Coaxial cables (or coax cables) transmit RF signals from one point to another and are found in both the home and the workplace to facilitate broadband, video and TV connections. When paired with a female receptacle, this straight cable-mount SMA connector allows you to join two coax cables together for high-quality data transmission.

The connector can be soldered onto flexible and semi-rigid cables and is available for the two most commonly used microwave cables – RG402/U and RG405/U. You can loosen or tighten it with a spanner once it's terminated, thanks to its hexagonal shape.

The product comes with a gold body and contact plating, which is hard-wearing and protects it from wear and tear from repeated use.
