Belden 4694R Coaxial Video Cable, 18 AWG, RG-6

Safeguard signal integrity for your video application and ensure high-definition performance with the 1694R coaxial cable.

The Belden 1694R cable is a 4K UHD precision video cable which is RG-6 rated. This coaxial cable uses solid silvered copper conductors which deliver optimal conductivity whilst defending against corrosion. The outer shield is comprised of foil and a tinned copper braid which offers high coverage, protecting against interference. This cable can operate in temperatures from -20°C to +75°C.

The 4694R 010100 cable features a black sheath and has a length of 304.8m. The voltage rating is 300V. It has a maximum pulling tension of 69 lbs (31 kg).

Features and Benefits:

• UV resistant

• Tough PVC outer jacket

• 75 Ohm nominal characteristic impedance

• PE (Foam Polyethylene) insulation

Applications:

Ultra-High Definition Digital Video

4K Single-link 12 Gb/s UHDTV

4K D-Cinema

8K Quad-link UHDTV

HD-SDI 1080p

Why is shielding used in cables?

Cables which are screened, or shielded, are better protected again electromagnetic interference (EMI) than unshielded versions. EMI refers to electrical noise which is conducted or radiated, and it can negatively affect the functioning of devices and equipment. Screening reduces crosstalk between cables (signal leakage), ensuring better transmission.
