RS Pro Universal Input Transformers

This series of input transformers from our trusted RS Pro brand are high quality and suitable for use in general applications. They are single phase transformers with screw connectors for universal input voltages, brackets for screw fixing or to DIN Rails. DIN Rail fixing is only for transformers up to 250 VA. These input transformers are 100% flash tested and electrical tested, and feature low noise laminations. With a fitted earth terminal, these transformers have a multi-tapped primary winding. All models are highly reliable and excellent quality.

Features and Benefits

• High efficiency
• Low regulation design
• Varnish impregnated
• Temperature Class B

What does a transformer do?

Transformers increase or decrease voltages within an AC circuit. You will find them in almost all electrical environments. As an example, some of the different types of power management units and how their voltages work are listed below.

Transformers - AC to AC
Power Supplies - AC to DC
DC Converters - DC to DC
Inverters - DC to AC (Pure or modified sine wave)
