RS PRO Screw Termination Thick Film Panel Mount Resistor, 500 Ω ±10% 2 kW


Add resistance to your electrical circuit with this RS PRO thick film resistor. Thanks to its resistance of 500 Ω, it can protect a wide range of sensitive electrical components. You'll typically find it in commercial and industrial settings, including hospitals, manufacturing plants and power stations.

You have the option to heat sink mount this resistor to a flat surface with a thermal transfer compound or use the pre-drilled screw holes. For best results when mounting, you can use a cooling plate of up to 0.05 mm thickness and the roughness of the surface shouldn't exceed 6.4 μm (micrometres).

This product is ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 compliant, so it meets electrostatic safety control standards. It's also BS EN 61340-5-1:2007 certified, which means you can use it safely in an electrostatic protected area (EPA). It's frequently used with robotic equipment and LEDs.
