TE Connectivity GelCap Gel Filled

GelCap SL street light stub splice connection kits for insulating, sealing and protecting stub splice connections up to1000 V in harsh environments. The molded cover of these GelCap SL splices is pushed down over the connection and the clamp is then closed securing the cover in place. The PowerGel sealing gel which is already in the cap provides pressure on the cable and the connector creating a moisture seal which is specially formulated for use in high temperature environments of -40 to +105°C. The PowerGel also acts as a vibration damper and can be pulled away allowing safe re-entry to the connection without the need for cutting tools. The GelCap SL street light stub connector accepts three wires making it ideal for street light connections. Two ports accept wire from 14-2/0 AWG which can be used for the feeder cable and a single port accepts 14-6 AWG which is used to power the light. Typical applications for these GelCap motor connection splices also include motor connections, irrigation systems, HVAC and outdoor lighting.
