TE Connectivity GelCap Motor Stub Splice Connection Kit
GelCap motor stub splice connection kits for insulating, sealing and protecting stub splice connections up to 1000 V in harsh environments. The molded cover of these GelCap splices is pushed down over the connection and the clamp is then closed securing the cover in place. The PowerGel sealing gel which is already in the cap provides pressure on the cable and the connector creating a moisture seal which is specially formulated for use in high temperature environments of -40 to +105°C. The PowerGel also acts as a vibration damper and can be pulled away allowing safe re-entry to the connection without the need for cutting tools. Typical applications for these GelCap motor connection splices include motor connections, street lighting, over wire nuts for sealing, irrigation systems, HVAC and outdoor lighting
