Lapp Brass Blanking Plug - PG

From Lapp, these blanking plugs are used to close over pre-drilled threaded bore holes. If a cable opening in a panel, junction box or machine housing has become redundant, these blanking plugs can be used to seal the bore hole, and have a simple screw-on action.

They feature a robust nickel plated brass construction, and have a good degree of resistance against corrosion and temperature for a low-maintenance cable management solution.

Ensuring a low level of environmental resistance (or higher when coupled with an o-ring) these blind plugs have far more use than the merely aesthetic, and can help protect wiring and machinery components.

Features and Benefits

• Nickel-plated Brass Construction
• IP54 Protection (IP68 when used with appropriate o-ring)
• Corrosion Resistance
• Temperature Resistance
• PG Sizes

Applications
These blind plugs can be used in;

• Electric Motor Manufacturing
• Machine Manufacturing

Accessories

These blind plugs can be used with corresponding Lapp o-rings for added environmental sealing.

LAPP Cable Gland Plug, NBR O-Ring, Temperature Resistant - SKINDICHT Series - 52003430

Protect your industrial enclosures from contamination with this cable gland plug from LAPP. You can use it to close off unused pre-drilled holes in your panels or junction boxes, which stops dust and moisture from getting in. It's made of nickel-plated brass, which means that it can withstand corrosion and impact to offer you long-term performance in harsh environments. You don't need complex tools to install this component – a simple screwdriver will get the job done.

• Broad operating temperature range of -60°C to +200°C without O-ring for use in extreme conditions
• PG21 thread for installation in medium-sized cable-gland holes

Applications

• Machine building
• Construction sites
• Pharmaceutical production facilities

Why should I use an O-ring with this plug?

You should use an O-ring with this plug to increase its protection level. When used with an O-ring, the component's IP rating goes from IP54 to IP68, which means it becomes dust and waterproof.
