SKF Ball Bearing, Deep-Groove Bearing Type, Shielded, 10mm ID, 26mm OD - 6000-2Z/C3

This deep-groove ball bearing from SKF is a reliable choice for handling heavy loads. It's shielded on both sides for reliable performance in a contaminated environment without increasing torque. Your system is then protected against damage from ingress of dust or dirt, without compromising on energy efficiency. Stainless steel inner and outer rings offer good resistance to corrosion and chemicals, making this a suitable choice for demanding industrial applications. The deep grooves increase the stability of the balls to let this bearing handle loads in both axial and radial directions.

• Maximum speed of 34,000r/min for high-speed applications
• Bearings are secured in a cage for reduced noise and wear
• Explorer series uses a unique heat treatment during manufacturing to optimise performance

Applications

• Industrial transmissions
• Agricultural equipment
• Electric motors and generators
• Materials handling

What's the difference between shielded and sealed ball bearings?

In a sealed ball bearing, the sealant fully encloses the raceway to keep lubricants in and contaminants out. This is highly effective but can cause extra friction and heat, reducing the overall efficiency. On the other hand, shields are only attached to the outer ring. This eliminates the friction increase as the shield makes no contact with the inner ring.
