SKF Plain Self-Aligning Ball Bearing, 12mm ID, 32mm OD - 1201 ETN9

Looking for a reliable ball bearing to use in situations where the shaft and housing are tricky to align? This self-aligning ball bearing from SKF is useful for setups where the shaft may bend during operation. The unit is designed primarily to cope with radial loads, but has a small capacity for axial loads too. A fibreglass-reinforced polyamide (PA) cage separates the balls and maintains their radial spaces, while the double row of bearings gives the bearing a higher load-carrying capacity.

• Parallel bore means it can be mounted directly onto a shaft without the need for an adapter sleeve
• Constructed from steel for strength and resistance to corrosion
• Open-end type allows for easy lubrication without dismounting

Applications

• Pumps
• Luggage conveyors
• Industrial fans
• Magazine stapling machines

What benefits do self-aligning ball bearings offer?

Self-aligning ball bearings generate less heat than any other type of rolling bearing. This lets them run cooler at higher speeds, giving them a longer service life and demanding little maintenance. They can also reduce noise and vibration levels, which is beneficial in applications such as fans.
