RS PRO 680 μF Electrolytic Capacitor 400 V DC, Through Hole Type
Searching for a capacitor with a high capacitance value? This electrolytic capacitor from RS PRO uses electrolytes to create electrostatic fields and store power and has a higher capacitance value than an electrostatic capacitor.
The capacitor features a safety vent construction so gas can escape, which prevents it from exploding when the voltage exceeds the specified value. The unit is a through-hole component and you install it by running its leads through your printed circuit board (PCB). This increases the capacitor's resistance to environmental stress.
You can see electrolytic capacitors like this one used for decoupling in electric supply, preventing voltage fluctuations in filtering appliances and storing power in devices such as flash lamps. It also meets Electrostatic Control Standards ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007, which means the risk of electrostatic discharge is reduced.
