The data centre sector in the UK and Ireland is experiencing its most rapid period of expansion to date.
Backed by government ambitions on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and a wave of private investment, the UK alone already hosts close to three Gigawatts of capacity across almost 250 facilities. Analysts are predicting that spending on data centres could rise to as much as £10 billion a year by 2029.
