Cordless Angle Grinders

A cordless angle grinder, also known as a side grinder or disc grinder is a handheld power tool used for cutting, grinding, and polishing a wide range of materials, including metal, concrete, stone, and wood. The term ˈAngleˈ in the word ˈAngle Grinderˈ refers to the fact that the grinding wheel is mounted at a right angle to the tool's body which allows it to be held in various orientations. Cordless angle grinders have a motor, which when powered on, rotates a disc or wheel at a high speed. The disc or wheel has grit or abrasive particles on it so when it is applied to a workpiece it can cut, grind or polish allowing the material to be shaped and finished. A Cordless angle grinder is powered by a rechargeable battery pack making it portable and able to be used off-site, outdoors and in remote areas where access to electricity is restricted or completely unavailable. The battery packs for cordless angle grinders differ in voltage and capacity which will determine the grinders runtime and power. To ensure uninterrupted operation of the tool the battery pack will need to be charged regularly, having a spare battery on hand is also useful.
