TE Connectivity F-Spring Contact FASTON Crimp Terminals
F-Spring contact FASTON receptacle crimp terminals for use with 6.35 x 0.8 mm size tab terminals. These FASTON crimp terminals have a low profile leaf spring design and a low insertion force of under 35N making them easy to insert into mating tabs. The flared lead-in and milled low friction surface of these FASTON LIF receptacles also make tab insertion easier even in difficult to reach areas. The leaf-spring rolls in the mating area of the receptacle eliminate profiled edge contact and provide a high normal force in the contact for increased reliability. The leaf-spring rolls also have a good wiping action during contact engagement. A locking dimple helps secure the mated contacts and prevent accidental disconnection. An audible click indicates that a secure connection has been made. A tab guidance feature aids accurate mating and also provides extra mechanical and electrical contact points. These F-Spring contact FASTON LIF receptacles have a rugged steel nickel plated design and can withstand a wide range of temperatures and perform well against corrosion.
