RS Miniature Centrifugal Pumps

High quality miniature pump range for liquids. Ideal for many general applications, including research and development, medical or aeronautical industries, miniature and portable equipment. These pumps use a centrifugal principle to deliver smooth pulseless flow. They are exceptionally quiet and reliable with a brushless drive motor. A signal output wire can be used, optionally, to provide information of status and pump speed/output.

Robust machined alloy construction
Small and lightweight with high output
Brushless drive motor
smooth pulseless flow
Very reliable operation
Output signal for performance monitoring
Submersible, weatherproof and port configuration options

RS PRO Miniature Centrifugal Pumps

Need is the mother of innovation, pushing innovators and creators to make life easier for us all. Water, by nature, moves from an area of high pressure to an area of low pressure. The need to have local drainage becomes a flywheel for French-born inventor to create in 1687 simple, but practical construction, which is the beginning of the new era in Water Pumps.

A Water Pump is a mechanical device that can circulate water or raise it from one level to another. Water Pumps draw existing water into the Pump by suction through an inlet point. The inlet point has a lower rate of pressure than the outlet points. A water pump increases the rate of water to create a vacuum. At this time, the outlet point has a high-pressure level which forces out the water. The impeller plays first fiddle in the entire process as the action of the part increases the fluid's velocity and pressure towards the Pump outlet.

There are a few types of Water Pumps currently available on the market, including Submersible Pumps, Irrigation Pumps and Circulation Pumps. Quite often the categorisation focuses on Self-Priming Pumps, Centrifugal Pumps and Underwater Pumps.

Centrifugal Pumps have their place in many life situations, such as when pumping water, organics, acids, solvents, agricultural or domestic applications. There are even individual Centrifugal Pumps that can deal with claims involving low viscosity fluids.

We are proudly introducing our own branded RS PRO Centrifugal Pump with a maximum flow rate of 2.8 litres per minute. This high-quality Pump for liquids is ideal for general applications, including research and development, medical, aeronautical industries or portable equipment. The Pump uses the centrifugal principle to deliver smooth pulseless flow. Our Centrifugal Pump is characterising of exceptionally quiet and relivable with a brushless drive motor. Optionally, a signal output wire can provide information status about pump speed/output. Centrifugal Pump Work complies to an IP rating of 67 meaning the unit can be dropped into a water up to a meter deep for half an hour. The body material of aluminium can handle maximum fluid temperature around + 100°C, whereas maximum working pressure is 325 mbar (millibar pressure unit) commonly used parameter in European countries.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a Centrifugal Pump last?

On average, the lifetime of the Centrifugal Pump is approximately 15 years having in mind that internal parts are under regular maintenance. Energy consumption represents about 90% of the total life cycle cost.

What lookout for when using the Centrifugal Pump?

  • Avoid overheats as this may damage internal components or cause burns and injuries.

  • Read carefully and follow the manual instruction.

  • Regular Checks (air leaks) and testing to make sure a safe operation is in place.

  • Check for any suction line blockage.

  • Always be cautious and use the Pump as intended, e.g. never operate Pumps in explosive or flammable environments, unless the construction of the Pump can perform such service safely.
