Magnetically-coupled pumps offer a number of advantages over conventional centrifugal pumps: leak paths can be eliminated; friction and power consumption can be reduced as there are no rotating seals; transmission of heat from the motor to the pumped fluid is less and maintenance requirements are subsequently reduced.
