Vent grilles also increase safety by securing to vent installations, guarding openings to prevent intrusion from people or pests, and preventing accidental injury from rotating extractor fan blades. Ventilation Grill Types
- Fan Grilles - Protective grilles designed to cover the front or back of axial or centrifugal fans. These grilles help prevent accidental contact with fan blades and may also aid in directing airflow.
- Louvre Grilles - Feature fixed slats (louvres) to allow airflow while blocking debris or direct ingress. Often used on ventilation openings in enclosures or HVAC systems to maintain air movement without exposing internal components.
- Diffusers - Also known as ceiling diffusers, diffuser vents are available in square, circle or swirl designs and are used to spread air uniformly and reduce draughts.
- Egg Crate Grilles - These have a high open-area and low air-resistance allowing for more air to pass through, this makes them suitable for return ducts in high volume applications such as in data centres or laboratories.
