SMC Vacuum Generator, For Use With ZK2 Series Vacuum Ejectors - ZK2A10K5CLA-08

This vacuum generator is a Compact, modular ejector designed to create controlled vacuum for automation systems. It integrates a two-stage high-efficiency ejector with pilot-operated supply and release valves, a digital pressure switch for vacuum monitoring, and an 8mm one-touch vacuum port, making it suitable for in-line installation where a Compact vacuum suction unit is required.

Features & Benefits

• Maximum vacuum pressure -91 kPa for strong grip performance
• Air consumption 40 l/min to limit operating Air use
• Supply pressure range 0.3 to 0.6 MPa for stable operation
• Noise level 66 dB to reduce acoustic impact on lines
• Digital display accuracy ±2% F.S. for precise vacuum setpoints
• Switch output PNP 2 outputs enabling simple PLC integration

Applications

• Suitable for pick-and-place in Electronic Assembly lines
• Ideal for end-of-arm tooling on robotic handlers
• Used for handling delicate PCBs and small components
• Can be used for vacuum hold-down in test fixtures
• Suitable for integration with pneumatic control panels

What electrical connection does it require?

It operates from a 12 to 24V DC supply with reverse-connection protection and consumes 40 mA or less for the pressure switch electronics.

How quickly does the pressure switch respond?

The switch response time is 2.5 MS or less with anti-chatter settings available from 20 to 2,000 MS for signal stability.

How is filtration handled to protect the ejector internals?

A suction filter with a 510mm² filtration area and 30 μm nominal element rating prevents particulate ingress.

What are the valve characteristics for pneumatic control?

Both supply and release valves are normally closed, pilot-operated poppet-style two-port valves rated for 24V DC actuation and valve operation within 0.3 to 0.6 MPa.

What environmental or durability limits apply during storage and use?

Operating temperature range is -5 to 50 °C

storage range for the switch is -10 to 60 °C and the unit withstands vibration up to 20 m/s² and impact up to 100 m/s².
