The Jumo mechanical surface mounted double thermostat is very robust and can also be used in rough conditions. The measuring systems used operate according to the fluid expansion principle and can be used without problems up to a maximum permissible probe temperature at the temperature controller of 135 °C and at the safety temperature monitor of 149 °C. When the temperature at the probe of the safety temperature monitor cools down below -20 °C, the circuit between terminal 1 and terminal 2 opens, but closes again automatically when the temperature rises. If the measuring system is destroyed, the circuit of the safety temperature monitor is permanently opened. The thermostat can be used in building automation as well as in heating, air conditioning and ventilation technology. Further areas of application are the plastics industry, apparatus and mechanical engineering as well as furnace construction and temperature monitoring in laboratory and climatic cabinets.
