RS PRO SSA Series Bolted Tag Fuses
Introducing from RS PRO the SSA series bolted tag fuses. These fuses are used in industrial applications designed to protect electrical circuits when overcurrent or short circuits are detected. They do this via a weak sacrificial link that breaks, protecting the electrical circuitry.
Upon inspection, each fuse is housed within a fuse holder with a tag at either end with mounting through-holes. The RS PRO SSA series offer a voltage rating of 250 V dc, 690 Vac with 6A to 63A current ratings. Installation is quick and easy and complies with the fuse standard IEC 60269-2/BS 88-2.

The main purpose of a fuse is to offer circuit protection by acting as the weakest link in the system. It is designed to fail when overloads occur. It’s safer and cheaper to replace a solitary fuse than to replace electrical components within the system.
