To reliably measure the rotation speed of a shaft or a disc in machinery like engines, use this reflective tape from Testo. It's designed for use with non-contact tachometers for measuring speeds at a distance. For accurate readings, simply attach the tape to the surface of the motor and point the tachometer at it so the light remains fixed. Industrial Tapes
