Festo Solenoid Coil, 230V AC, 3 Pin - MSFW-230-50/60
This solenoid coil from Festo is an essential component in electro-pneumatic systems. Consisting of a wind of wire wrapped around a metal core, this device is used to create motion. It does this by establishing an electromagnetic field around a piston that causes it to shift forward or backwards. Duroplast housing material provides reliable insulation and protection from electric shock. You'll find units like this one commonly used alongside direct-acting or pilot-operated pneumatic valves to control cylinders. You can also use it as a relay in automobile ignition systems.

How can I tell if a solenoid coil needs to be replaced?
You can carry out a simple test using a multimeter. Set your multimeter on Ohms (resistance) and set it on 2kOhms if it's not automatic. Place the probes on the two solenoid coil pins and check the reading on the multimeter. A reading of zero means your coil is shorted and should be replaced.
